THE ORIGIN OF DR. PSYCH!
This show is the first appearance of a Swiss Psychiatric Doctor , Dr. Ana Macedo who will be a regular guest on the show whenever she can appear. She is a big fan of my kind of music and loves everything we play .She is an expert on Syd Barrett especially so she will do a feature on an early Pink Floyd tune tonight. Also tonight we have one of my Psychedelic Psnacks that I did years ago on an oldies station. As well we feature the first band who ever covered Pink Floyd .
This show features a few of my favourite tracks of all time which I will mark with a star, just so you know. A well rounded show with lots of variety. Notice to the similarities of Nektar and Pink Floyd. Hmm. This was an earlier Nektar song that came out a year before Dark Side. I am sure I hear things that Floyd used later on . But the Psych Doctor will straighten me out later I presume. O we have a few songs that I have never heard before on this show as well . Especially the Picadilly Line, and we end it all with Canada's own, Stompin' Tom Connors.!~~~~Actually , he is now a Doctor too!! He received a Doctor of Laws degree honoris causa from St. Thomas University in 1993, which was the inspiration for his album titled Dr. Stompin' Tom Connors, eh?
