GRANTLY TRIBUTE SHOW
ON THIS SHOW YOU CAN FEEL THE EXCITEMENT IN THE STUDIO AS WE PAY HOMAGE TO GRANTLY WHO WAS A KEY FIGURE ON THE 60S SCENE. HE HOSTED CANADIAN BANDSTAND, OUR VERSION OF AMERICAN BANDSTAND, AND HE ALSO WAS ONE OF THE ONLY GUYS IN TOWN PLAYING ROCK MUSIC ON THE RADIO LOCALLY. AS WELL , HE OWNED THE COLONIAL RECORD SHOP, WHERE I BOUGHT MY FIRST RECORDS, AND HE EMCEED AND PROMOTED CONCERTS IN TOWN.
I rarely do interviews but this is by far my best effort. We were all pumped in the studio and you can hear it! The show moves fast with music and our FIRST live callers on the air. We will have take live calls more often in the future. Maybe I should start running some contests.
Thank you to Nancy Zurbrigg and a fellow named Patrick who called and made the show a success! I was surprised people were calling in at that hour.
